Where to begin?
This blog is a place for me to document my journey to a more minimalist lifestyle.
I’m an aspiring minimalist who possesses a growth mindset. We’ve been told over and over of Mark Zuckerberg’s loosely minimalist choice to wear the same t-shirt all the time, but I mostly read about people who are making a conscious shift towards minimalism, leaving their corporate selves behind as they do. Of course, that’s absolutely fine! We all must make choices that feel true to ourselves.
Living simply, responsibly, and against the grain of society’s rampant consumerism feels so “me”, but I’m not about to give up my role of running the New Zealand operation of an Australian financial services business which I have total and unwavering passion (borderline obsession) for.
Minimalism is a means, albeit vicarious one, of facilitating more time to do the things you want to do. And I want to do all of the things! For me, this includes more time to spend in business.
If you’d like to learn a little more about how I ended up here, you can read this very personal post, which was the original “About” page of this blog. Or, jump straight into the deep end like I’ve just done!
You’ll also find me writing about topics ranging from business and personal finance through to wellbeing and sustainability, which all form an integral part of my journey to minimalism.
